Description

This is the most basic type of butterfly valve. Often referred to as a resilient-seated butterfly valve. In this type of valve, the stem is centered in the middle of the valve disc, which is centered in the pipe bore. Description

A ball valve is a form of quarter-turn valve which uses a hollow, perforated and pivoting ball to control flow through it. It is open when the ball’s hole is in line with the flow and closed when it is pivoted 90-degrees by the valve handle. The handle lies flat in alignment with the flow when open, and is perpendicular to it when closed, making for easy visual confirmation of the valve’s status.

Description

Triple offset butterfly valves have three offsets, the third offset creates a type of cone shape of the disc and seat. This cone angle, along with the two eccentric shaft offsets, allows the disc to seal against the seat with no friction. This seat design also allows for uniform sealing, and thus a tight shutoff in a metal seat design.

V-Port ball valves are a specialized ball valve that are suitable for coarse control applications. At the same time, they can also provide reliable shutoff.
